If you have half an hour and a wish to have a wholesome breakfast without putting too much effort, then Moong Dal dosa is your go-to recipe. Unlike the traditional dosa, the Moong dal dosa doesn’t require long soaking hours and a night to ferment. And if you are still wondering on how to make Moong dal dosa I have a brief explanation – 20 minutes of soaking, 5 minutes of grinding and you are ready to have protein rich and a healthy breakfast/snack.
Ingredients:
- Split yellow Moong dal: One cup ( required quantity) soak for 20 minutes
- Ginger: 1 inch
- Green chilis: 2
- Cumin seeds: Half a teaspoon
- For Topping:
- Onions chopped: one cup
- Carrot Grated: one cup
- Green chilis: Few nicely chopped
- Salt: To taste
- Cooking soda: 2 pinches
Method:
To make the dosa, first, soak the split yellow moong dal for 20-30 minutes. Wash thoroughly and grind into a smooth paste along with few green chilis, ginger and a pinch of cumin seeds. To the batter add salt to taste.
Heat a pan and season it. To the pan add a ladle of batter and spread into a dosa. Top with carrots, onions and chopped chilis. You can roast the dosa with a spoonful of ghee for extra taste.
