Required Ingredients to make Beetroot stir fry:
- Cubed Beetroot
- Urad Dal: Half a teaspoon
- Chana Dal: Half a teaspoon
- Asafoetida: 1/4 of a teaspoon
- slit green chilis: 2
- Curry leaves: few
- Garlic paste: Half a teaspoon
- Grated Coconut: Optional
- Salt to taste
Method:
Take a pan and heat some oil.
Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and let them sputter.
Add urad dal and chana dal and fry till golden brown
Add asafoetida followed by garlic paste and cook till the raw smell of garlic fades away.
Add slit green chillies and cubed beetroot.
Add salt to taste and cover with a lid and cook till the beetroot is soft and transparent.
